Partners in Education

Partners In Education is sponsored by a joint relationship between Clarksville-Montgomery County School System and the Clarksville Chamber of Commerce. Different businesses and organizations have adopted area schools to give aid in supporting the education of each child. Below are the local businesses that have agreed to adopt Woodlawn Elementary.
Regions Bank of Clarksville
Regions Bank partnered with Woodlawn in November of 2003.
The bank identified the following goals with Woodlawn:
1) Institute a student-banking program that will integrate math, writing and verbal skills,
2) Provide savings bonds as student incentives,
3) Provide book fair volunteers,
4) Bring treats for teachers on Teacher Appreciation Day,
5) Help out with field day activities.
Union Planters' representatives visit Woodlawn each Tuesday morning between 8:30-9:00 to assist students with opening a savings account and adding to it each week.
Please encourage your child to participate in this great learning opportunity.
Gary Mathews Nissan & Suzuki
Mathews Nissan has been in business for over 15 years in Clarksville. They enjoy meeting the automotive needs of the community as well as promoting a rewarding educational experience for our children. This year
Mathews Nissan & Suzuki has signed on as our partner in education and have already provided landscaping to help beautify our school grounds and donated birthday bookmarks. They also plan to help celebrate student and teacher successes, academic achievements, volunteer
appreciation, and Grandparents Day.

Woodlawn Volunteer Fire Department
The Fire Department has assisted Woodlawn since its beginning in 1985. Members of the department voluntarily direct traffic and provide overflow parking for special school events. Students are invited to visit the fire house during Fire Prevention Week for fire safety education. The department members demonstrate the use of equipment involved in fire threatening situations. Volunteers visit classrooms to share about a fireman's career in fire safety during the study of Career Education.
