 Dear Parents, Welcome to First Grade. My name is Pat Martin and I am proud to teach your child this year. I assure you I take this responsibility seriously. Your child, you and I will make a great team. Together we will make your child's first grade year successful! Our first grade goal is to make your child a responsible, independent worker. Your child will be working hard to acquire vocabulary in reading, speaking, and writing. They will need you to provide homework guidance and support. Allow them to work independently as much as possible after you have made sure they understand the directions. Your child will get letter grades this year. I upload grades each weekend.
