Preparing for your Senior year!!

Welcome Class of 2011

I am providing you with the ESTIMATED costs you will need to save up for during your Senior year at Kenwood. Prices may vary. I am giving you this information so that you can plan your finances accordingly. You are not required to purchase any of these items except the basic graduation package as noted below (*).

LifeTouch / Prestige Portrait Studios (615-373-3806) has been contracted by the school system for the following items:

Senior Portraits – Taken in summer before school begins by appointment with LifeTouch. You will be contacted by LifeTouch / Prestige Portraits. You must have a portrait taken to be included in the yearbook whether or not you purchase a portrait package. Prices vary. Make up portraits are in September and are limited.

Cap & Gown Graduation Portraits- These portrait packages vary in price similar to the school pictures packets. Cap & Gown pictures are scheduled for February 1, 2011.

Jostens (1-931-433-4632 Long Distance) has been contracted by the school system to provide the following items:

Graduation Announcements: Includes Announcements and generic senior items including T-shirts, sandals, keychains, class mugs, etc. Package prices vary greatly. Will be offered in the fall for delivery in the spring. Items also available online at Jostens.com

*Graduation Cap & Gown Packages: Purchase of the basic package is REQUIRED to participate in graduation. The basic package includes the cap, gown, tassel, diploma and diploma cover for an approximate cost of $45. Other packages with additional items are available. These items are ordered in October for delivery in early May. New seniors may order Cap & Gown with Mrs. Smith throughout the year.

Kenwood items: Prices are APPROXIMATE!

Senior Wear- Kenwood Knights custom class clothing will be offered in January. This is the Senior class clothing that has our graduates names on back!

Homecoming Spirit Shirts - may be offered for purchase prior to Homecoming $18 - $30

Senior Fundraisers: Summer 2010 – January 2011

Funds are raised to pay for the cost of the prom and Senior Day activities. It is very important that all Seniors and their families try to participate in these activities so as to keep costs to individual students lower.

Senior Coffee Houses: These events are held monthly from October – March. They provide the Seniors a time to socialize and plan class activities. Students provide refreshments to share or $3 per event. These events offer games, music, movies, food and friendship!

Senior Prom- $30 - $40 Early purchases may be discounted. Ticket price covers food, beverages, DJ, decorations and giveaway prizes. Proceeds cover the cost of the prom and Senior Day. (Date and location to be announced.)

Graduation 2011 - APSU Dunn Center (Date and time to be announced.)

Please note: Participation in any class activity during the school year is open to students classified as a Senior in good standing at the time of the event. Students planning to graduate early must have enough qualifying credits to participate at the time of the event.

$55 - $85 Early purchases are discounted in the fall. Ads may be purchased for graduating Seniors, businesses, etc.

Senior Newspaper Ads -

The senior paper celebrates the senior class and is distributed to seniors

at Senior Breakfast.

Ads are available to parents and friends to congratulate seniors and let

them know how much we all will miss them. These ads are great for scrapbooks

and to send to family members across the country.
