This book is about: A boy who learns to succeed in life under the rule of white racists. While growing up, he learns that there are nice people who want to help him and care less about color or race. In the end he ends up getting where he wanted all along. America!

The best thing about this book is: how he was able to go to college and leave South Africa.

People who like learning about South Africa and apartheid would like this book.

People should read this book because they can know what people went through under apartheid. This book has lots of moments where your emotions just come out and you feel it couldn't be true. Love, hate, deception, and passion are just a few emotions.
