Vision Statement

Liberty Elementary staff has high expectations for all students in order to produce well rounded, productive citizens.   They will have academic, social, and problem solving skills to function in society.

Mission Statement

Our mission at Liberty Elementary School is to cooperatively share the responsibility of educating the whole child.   We feel this can best be accomplished by recognizing the uniqueness of each individual and by providing a safe learning environment which promotes wise decision-making and academic success.

Beliefs

At Liberty Elementary we believe...

               
1. All children are unique, can learn, can achieve success when actively involved in the learning process.
2. School will be a caring place where kindness, respect, and positive attitudes are modeled.
3. The cooperative efforts of parents, school, and community enhance learning and meet students' needs.
4. Each child will be provided opportunities to attain knowledge and establish habits which will promote life-long learning.
5. An education will be provided for all students in their least restrictive environment.
6. Fair, positive, consistent discipline promotes the development of a more responsible person.
7. A supportive home environment positively affects a child's school experience.
8. The acceptance of and respect for individuality strengthens interpersonal relationships and builds self-esteem.

9.   Aligned curriculum, assessments and teaching techniques will be monitored and adapted to meet the needs of a changing society.

10.   Schools attain quality goals by setting high standards.
11.   Providing a safe and orderly atmosphere fosters trust and sensitivity.
12.   Faculty and staff will participate in leadership activities and utilize individual skills,
talents, and creativity.
13. Ongoing professional growth is necessary to meet the ever-changing needs of our school community.
